The German Shepherd challenge

A brilliant breed that needs a clear handler.

A bored or unclear GSD finds its own entertainment: mouthing, pulling, reactivity, over-guarding or not switching off.

Most of it comes back to engagement, clear communication and a routine that meets your dog’s needs. Training is adapted to your dog’s age and energy.

How we help

Structure, focus and a job to do.

Shepherds do best when they know what’s expected and have an outlet for their drive.

1

Engagement first

Channel your Shepherd’s focus into you through play, food and clear rewards.

2

Clear markers

Consistent, fair communication a clever breed can read quickly.

3

Practical control

Lead work, long-line recall, place work and calm settling.

4

An outlet for drive

Training games and structure that tire the mind as well as the body.

Responsible referrals: where aggression or a medical issue needs specialist input, we will say so and refer you to a vet or clinical behaviourist.
Questions

Common questions.

Anything else? WhatsApp 07792 606681.

When should I start training my German Shepherd?

As early as possible. Habits like mouthing and pulling are far easier to shape while they’re small.

Is my Shepherd aggressive or protective?

Often neither: many are worried or over-aroused. We’ll assess carefully and recommend specialist support where needed.

Do you only train German Shepherds?

No. All breeds are welcome, but Shepherds and working breeds are a big part of what we do.
